Desired Learning Outcomes:
• Recognise key signs of acute oncology/haematology emergencies.
• Apply eviQ/UKONS assessment tools and escalation pathways.
• Understand management principles for neutropenic sepsis, tumour lysis, spinal cord compression, hypercalcaemia, immunotherapy toxicities, Disseminated intravascular Coagulation DIC and catastrophic bleeding.
• Demonstrate teamwork and crisis management in anaphylaxis simulation
Content:
Short presentations, case discussions and simulation covering assessment frameworks, acute oncological emergencies, immunotherapy reactions, vascular access issues, Disseminated intravascular Coagulation (DIC), catastrophic bleeds, and anaphylaxis.
