Description

Desired Learning Outcomes:
• Describe common mechanisms of injury and associated trauma patterns
• Explain and apply key components of trauma nursing management
• Accurately use post-traumatic amnesia (PTA) screening tools, interpret results, and initiate appropriate referral pathways for full cognitive assessment
• Identify psychological impacts commonly experienced after trauma
• Demonstrate increased competence in trauma-related practical skills
Content:
Morning lectures with skill stations in the afternoon. Stations may include chest drains, fitting collars, cast cares, traction, and rapid infusers (TBC).
