Mandatory Requirement for Preceptoring New Graduate Nurses
NETP/NESP/ENSIPP

The workshop uses a blend of traditional teaching methods with group work, role plays and fun activities to enable you to feel confident supporting students, new graduates, and Internationally Qualified Nurses.
You will also have the opportunity to meet staff from Otago Polytechnic and the University of Otago to learn about the different courses and expectations for Diploma of Enrolled Nursing students, Bachelor of Nursing students, Master of Nursing Students and Competence Assessment Programme (CAP) candidates.
The role of the preceptor is crucial for developing our future workforce. Being a preceptor is such a rewarding experience and we encourage you to take this next step in your career.
Following completion of this course an update is available on HealthLearn: course SRLD002. This is to be completed every 3 years.
