Desired Learning Outcomes:
Participants will extend their practice knowledge, understanding, and skills in the management and care of patients undergoing lower limb amputation.
Content:
• Vascular surgery and limb sparing procedures.
• Wound Management pathways
• Acute pain management
• Acute postoperative management- an MDT approach
• Occupational Therapy and the Discharge Destination
• Prosthetics and the Rehabilitation Phase
• Practical workshop – patient moving and handling and product demonstration
