Description
Course Overview and Learning Outcomes:
Development of skills and knowledge in basic and advanced adult and paediatric resuscitation.
Standardised course content developed by the New Zealand Resuscitation Council (NZRC).
One day course that teaches and assesses the following skills and knowledge:
- Basic resuscitation for adults and children
- Arrhythmia recognition and the use of advisory and manual defibrillators
- Airway management including Laryngeal Mask Airway insertion
- The generic approach to the early management of trauma
- Advanced management of adult and paediatric collapse including appropriate drug therapies and peri-arrest management
- The use of teamwork and communication in managing a crisis
