A 2.5 hour course that enables attendees to effectively access and de-access a patient’s port device as it is required in clinical areas.

Description
The key learning outcomes include:
• Placement of Ports and relevant equipment used.
• Techniques in accessing and verifying position.
• Troubleshooting and complications of Ports.
• De-accessing Huber needles from the Port.
NOTE – The Port session occasionally follows a CVAD Workshop but both sessions need to be booked separately. Staff are required to complete their CVAD Certification before completing Port training.
