• Anatomy of veins used for cannulation and venipuncture.
• Type and appropriate use of equipment.
• Blood sampling
• Infection prevention and control
• Complications and management
• Practical demonstration
Reading material handed out on day.
Four observed practical assessments to be handed in to service educator on completion.
